Thank You! :o) . About 20 - 30 ozs "Soft" worsted weight acrylic Yarn ** (I'm using Red Heart Soft color #7320 Lt. Wheat); size I aluminum crochet hook (I'm using a Boye hook) OR Size Needed for Gauge. . ** Amount needed will vary depending on size of garment you make. It is always best to overestimate how much you will need, however 30 ozs should be more than enough for the largest size given below. :o) . Gauge: In hdc, 7 sts and 5 rows = 2" . Finished Size: Chest/Bust - this will depend on garment size you decide to make, however your vest should measure about 2" larger than chest/bust size preferred - this will allow for "ease" of fit so it won't be too "snug". Length - this will be up to you! Make it any length you like - just to the waist, to the hips or all the way to your knees if you wish! :o) . For Part One we will be using the following Special Stitches: Shell (shl) - 3 dc in next sc . . Notes: Turning ch-3 counts as first dc. Vest is worked in ONE piece from waist up. This way there will be NO side seams - just the 2 shoulder seams! :o) For sizes larger than 50" bust, add 7 ch to beginning ch for Each size. Armhole Depth is the measurement from top of shoulder to underarm. . . Begin with ch length as needed for size, according to chart below .
ROW
1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1, turn.
